Before beginning her career at Gary Greene, Ms. Britton worked in the Petroleum Industry for 7 years, primarily in the Geochemistry sector. She then went to work for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) where she remained for more than 20 years. During her time at TCEQ, Ms. Britton primarily worked in the Hazardous Waste section, conducting inspections and investigations, meeting with industry executives and their staff, small business owners, property owners, as well as city, county, and state officials. She also prepared and presented training modules at seminars, presenting to as many as 320 at a time. During her tenure with TCEQ, Ms. Britton won several honors including Employee of the Year from both the TCEQ and the Environmental Protection Agency, demonstrating her dedication, commitment, and strong wroth ethic.
