My Client Reviews
Annika was fantastic to work with! She listed our old home and appreciated the history, the neighborhood, and all the quirks that come along with a house that has been around for over a 100 years! She is a great communicator and marketer and did an amazing job advertising the sale. We are very happy with all facets of our experience listing our home through Annika. A++++ Professional.
Annika is wonderful - as first-time home buyers, she walked us through each step and made sure we understood the process. She is very knowledgeable about historic properties and helped us move quickly when we found the perfect home.
Annika's expertise with the housing market and historical homes, makes shopping for a home with her a fun and educational experience. She understands why I love an old home and what to look for in finding the best house for your biggest investment. Annika is flexible and willing to do whatever it takes to find you whatever home you seek, with a smile on her face and she is enthusiastic in the process. Dealing with a real estate agent who is knowledgeable, pleasant and thorough is a blessing, add her ability to negotiate and have inside knowledge about what could be happening development wise in different neighborhoods will give you an upper hand in finding exactly what you want to live in and around. Take advantage of her abilities, she is one of the smartest agents I know, I will use her in all of my real estate transactions.
Exceptional service, especially considering that this particular transaction was as "grueling" as it was. Her pressure on the seller and agent helped to ensure this didn't drag out any longer than it did. Annika kept in constant contact throughout the process with detailed updates as they came available. I would recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell their home...or vacant lot as it were in this case. :-) I can tell you that if I ever need an agent again, she'll be who I call.

Old home preservationists follow the following principle: If the home's original fiber exists do everything possible to preserve it. If the original fiber no longer exists, find a vintage substitute that reflects the style of your home, made during the period your home was built. If you can't source a vintage substitution, use a reproduction that most closely mimics what your home originally had.Sometimes that simple principle is difficult to implement. I wanted to preserve my vintage tub/shower...

"I love the charm of an old house, but I'd have to have an updated kitchen." As a Realtor® specializing in older homes, I hear that a lot. No doubt, there are many advantages to kitchen mod-cons. However, the need for a brand-new kitchen is somewhat due to excellent marketing by the kitchen renovation industry. Kitchen fashion has become as fleeting as apparel fashion, prompting many to re-do their kitchens to reflect this month's HGTV trend. Joanna Gaines would likely have a seizure if she saw ...

I've never met Harry Forehead but I mix cocktails in his pantry. Harry was born in England and he was an accomplished cricket player. In fact, he captained a cricket team that played a match in Miller Park on Labor Day 1911. No doubt he also played cricket at Field Club when it still was a cricket club.Harry worked as a butler to The Beebes, who lived in my home for decades. I'm proud to say that his pantry remains almost the same as it was in Harry Forehead's time. A brass mouthpiece to the hom...
