To Do: The Market 301 Happening This Weekend
Lexingtonians look out: the return of summer means the return of everyone’s favorite markets!
There’s nothing better or more “summery” than the heat of the afternoon sun beating town on the pavement while you stand under the tent of some local artist and chat with them about their work while munching on some food truck food. These are events that you really don't want to miss if you're a fan of shopping, browsing art, or simply getting out of the house and stretching your legs for a bit.

Markets are a lovely place to chat with up and coming artists, designers, and small business owners in one convenient, open-air space. There's always something interesting to see, even if you're not in the market to buy.
Coming this weekend is a great opportunity to meet the makers and artists of Lexington at The Market 301. The Market 301 is held monthly, typically on the third Friday evening of the month, at Manchester Musical Hall on Manchester Street. With limited space, the organizers of the event curate a group of makers, creators and entrepreneurs each month, making this a great place to bring your guests from out of town to really showcase what Lexington’s local scene is like.
The Market 301 was back in 2015 as a small, 10 vendor event, but over the years, it has grown with the support of the local community to include over 30 makers, artisans, and boutiques that set-up each month to bring Lexington, KY the best of local shopping.. At the Market 301 you will find everything from papergoods to mens & women's wares & children's wares, to ceramics, illustration, wood art, home goods, cocktail syrups, treats (for humans and the furry type) and beauty products. There’s something for everyone here!
At least two rotating food trucks are located outside the market. And inside, a full bar is available to shoppers or anyone who is coming to socialize. This makes the Market 301 an excellent place to stop by for a few hours in the afternoon or evening while also enjoying an inexpensive meal.
