Oh, I still remember that sweet welcome when my husband and I moved here 17 years ago. We had no friends, no family no idea where to start. That quickly change and soon we noticed that we had fallen under the spell of the city and its people. In no time we were driving the roads without a map ( yes, no gps then) and hanging out with the locals like we were one of them.... well because the embraced us and we were! In case you have heard of the "CSRA" Augusta is the main city of the CSRA ( Central Savannah River Site) but we casually use it -for geographic reference- when talking about the adjacent towns of Evans, Martinez, Grovetown, Harlem, Appling and even North Augusta and Aiken even though these two are actually in South Carolina across the River. We are a blessed area that is on a fast track for expansion. And no surprises here. We have a wonderful weather with a super long summer that can last until September, we have a low cost of living where many of the homeownership dreams can actually come true here. We are growing and have tons of room to grow. Many industries are noticing of our incredible location, quality of life, schools and overall thriving environment so they are making us their choice for their headquarters and new business venues. Fun tip: Did you know that Club car headquarters is in Augusta? Yes!! Augusta is the home of the world-renowned Master's Golf tournament and what better ambassador that Club Car itself. Everything is within reach when you live here. We are a small big city, but If you are in the mood for a big city feeling just hop in your car and head 2 hours West to Atlanta or 1.5 hours NE to Columbia SC. If you are craving the sea just head 2 hours East To Savannah or Hilton Head. But if you are in the mood for the mountains just take the NE direction and in 3.5 hours you will be in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.
