When I first came to Idaho the drive from Emmett to Grandma's house in Boise wasn't a very interesting drive. Passing through Eagle, the main roads were lined with pastures of cows. And here we are now, the line between Eagle, Boise, and Meridian is blurred. All connected by the most incredible subdivisions in the area. Eagle prides itself on continuing to have a small town feel. Restrictive of box stores, food chains, and anything to commercial. For the most part, it is an area filled with the mom and pop business feel. The coffee shops and restaurants mostly local to the area. And I must say, some of the best atmosphere and best-tasting dishes around. Eagle is gorgeous. And they work hard at maintaining a touch of luxury in their small town. One could say "small town, big houses" although it has its variety of homes sizes, the exponential growth it has experienced in the last couple decades has been mostly luxury homes. Some line the river on the Southside, and some boast large acreages, with beautiful farmhouses and horse pastures.
