After my children graduated from high school in 1997, I began a career in real estate in Texas. I had the opportunity to work for “The First Lady of Real Estate!”, Ebby Halliday Acres, founder of Ebby Halliday Realtors. What an amazing woman to learn from! It was such an honor to work at the Sherman/Whitesboro office for Sherry Smith.
After eleven years as the listing coordinator, I turn another page and moved to Colorado Springs. I now have the amazing opportunity to be the Office Manager at Better Homes and Gardens® Kenney & Company Real Estate! It’s a wonderful brokerage that truly cares for the agents and clients. It’s been an eye-opening and educational experience working in one of the top real estate markets in the country. Seeing the property management side of the business sparked a fire in me to get my realtor license; I’m looking forward to directly serving my clients, as opposed to being more behind the scenes. One skill that I have spent time developing at Kenney & Company is training my eyes to see what could be—the potential. If a house has good bones and great flow, even if it isn’t exactly how you want it, it can be your dream home with some adaptations. I love helping others see the vision of their home, setting a goal, and helping them achieve it!
