Jan Jordan was born and raised in Northern Illinois and after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, she moved and settled in Sarasota, Florida. After teaching in the Sarasota County school system, she pursued her real estate license in 1989. She is an active member of the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee County and Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce.Her real estate career began focusing on new home construction and sales with Arthur Rutenberg Homes throughout Manatee County. In 1994, she co-founded a successful Longboat Key real estate brokerage specializing in rental and property management. Their commitment to personal attention and quality services led to being recognized as "Rookie Small Business of the Year" and "Small Business of the Year" by the Longboat Key, Lido Key, St. Armands Chamber of Commerce.Her move to Better Homes and Gardens/Atchley Properties has given Jan an opportunity to combine her knowledge of Sarasota and Manatee counties with the highest level of personal service and attention to detail.
