Donny Carter is the Broker and Owner of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Old Line Group. He was born and raised in Frostburg, Maryland and attended Beall High School, Allegany College of Maryland and Frostburg State University prior to earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland – University College.
In 2005, Donny decided to pursue his longstanding dreal and obtained his real estate licnese and began his career with Robison Skidmore Professional Real Estate Services before moving to The Goodfellow Agency, where he was the Team Leader of the Carter-Roque Team, one of the top-producing teams in the Historic Highlands Association of Realtors. In 2011, along with partner Meg Roque, Carter & Roque Real Estate was born. Their small company grew exponentially over the next decade, eventually becoming one of the top two real estate brokerages in the area.
Always knowing that he wanted to expand the business, Donny took a giant leap in 2024 and joined Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate as their first Maryland franchisee. He is looking forward to bringing the same level of professionalism to this new venture as our friends and customers have come to expect.
One of Donny’s many interests includes the well-being of this community. He has served as a Commissioner of Finance for the City of Frostburg since 2010, Vice President of FrostburgFirst, and was also the President of the Historic Highlands Association of Realtors. When Donny is not helping clients, he enjoys wine-making, golfing, coaching, and hanging out with his wife and three daughters.
