Growing up in Durham, I raced to the end of the driveway each Sunday morning to retrieve the Durham Morning Herald (now The Herald-Sun), not to read the comics, but to check out the Homes for Sale section and ask my parents if they could go to an open house. Certainly my $20 monthly allowance wouldn't be enough to purchase a home, so why the unusual interest in real estate at such a young age? I may not have realized it was my calling at the time, but looking back, the memories of intently studying floor plans, drawing real estate company signs on construction paper, and picking out the best house on each row of those shown in the paper every week, I have to think this is what I'm supposed to be doing. Now years later, with a bachelor's degree from UNC-Greensboro (Go Spartans!) and a successful career as a corporate trainer for a national property management firm, I've expanded my career to include real estate sales. When you truly love something, it never leaves you, and I knew I couldn't shake my desire to become a Realtor®. So intense was my dedication that I completed my pre-licensing education and the required post-licensing education in under one year, all while maintaining the pace of my established career in the property management industry. I devote the same energy, dedication and enthusiasm to my clients, whether they're seeking a budget rental or selling a luxury country club estate. I apply my experience and foresight to proactively address details before they become problems and transform meticulous processes into engaging and positive learning experiences for each client. An active listener with a deeply compassionate heart, I get to know my clients' stories and needs, and partner with them to achieve their real estate goals. A health-conscious outdoors enthusiast who starts multiple DIY projects at the same time while learning my way around every tool at the local hardware store, I find serenity on any seaside balcony, reflecting on daily gratitude, and sipping NC craft beer while searching the Triangle MLS, having come a long way since racing to view the homes section of the Sunday morning paper.
