Building, owning, and operating a small cruise business led to a diverse and rewarding career in Alaska.
Customers became passengers who in turn became friends. Working in the tourism industry, navigating the paths of government regulations, and enjoying ongoing relationships with industry, set a tone for a customer-service based career.
After selling the business, I looked to new horizons and sought of find a new area with rugged landscapes, mountains, water and spirited people. My path turned towards New England. After an extensive search throughout New Hampshire and Vermont, Jeff Behrens and his wife Catherine moved to Tamworth, New Hampshire. There he and his wife took on a large home project to build a family estate on acreage abutting the Hemingway State Forest. Horseback riding, working on the land and building on the property has been a passion. It is now operating as the “Twisted Moose Lodge.”
I’ve worked to buy and sell many properties over the last 15 years. I initially worked as my wife’s Realtor assistant, then had an opportunity to work in design and sales with an accomplished builder. I have learnt most aspects of the home building process, should your home systems and infrastructure. This knowledge along with years of customer service had led to becoming a licensed NH Realtor. Working for years in the lake’s region, I have expanded my coverage area, turning my compass north.
