Arlene was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada to Italian parents Johnny & Gilda Giardetti. At a young age, the family moved to America and became U.S. citizens. They lived in several states before settling down in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After high school graduation, Arlene enrolled at NMSU where she met and married Phil Ehly, an Aggie standout football player. Upon his graduation, the family moved to Canyon Texas where Arlene graduated from West Texas St. with a B.S. in Art Education. After several years of teaching, Arlene entered the private sector as a licensed professional Realtor® and has practiced in that capacity for last 34 years.
