This native grass pasture located on the north side of I-70 near Tallgrass road provides an excellent grazing opportunity and also includes several unique features that provide recreation opportunity. In addition to the grass being in good condition, several practices have been implemented to improve water quality. First you will notice that the large pond in the southern portion is fenced entirely. There are multiple stock tanks located below the dam that can be fed from the pond providing an alternative water source for livestock. Continuing with the water quality improvement theme you will find the riparian area located in the northern portion of the pasture has also been fenced to prevent livestock from accessing if one chooses. There is a stock tank within the area to provide clean water to livestock when allowed access to graze, but it also provides a water source for wildlife.
