Built in the late 1830s, 708–710 Mandeville is an unusually rare brick shotgun double - Greek Revival in form, understated by design, and remarkably intact. According to the New Orleans Architecture series, it's one of the few brick shotguns still standing in the city, and it's held onto its stepped hip roof, plastered façade, stringcourse detailing, and parapeted rear gable nearly 200 years later. Inside, the home is split into two connected wings: the front, set up for work and play, with rooms staged as a home office, art studio, and a workout space. The back is where things slow down - three private bedrooms, including a full primary suite with a wet bar, lounge space, and just the right amount of "do not disturb." Out back, a sizeable fenced-in yard with a covered deck and hot tub gives you space to entertain—or disappear.
