Industrial Brooklyn meets Hudson Valley. Once the vital water source for the Town of Hyde Park, the Waterhouse at Crum Elbow drew its supply from the pristine Crum Elbow Creek from 1940 to 1994. The creek ultimately joins its tributary to the Hudson River along the historic Vanderbilt estate grounds. When growing demand outpaced what the plant and supplemental wells could supply, the town transitioned to a newer facility, leaving this remarkable building ready to be reimagined.
