In 1906, two decades before the construction of the iconic St. Johns bridge, a gentleman by the name of P.H. Edlefsen built a stately home perched above North Willamette Boulevard. The 4,223 SF residence, set on a quarter acre in St John’s Cathedral Park neighborhood, showcased covered porches, grand spaces and a tower. Edlefsen, owner of St. Johns Water Works + Lighting Co, chose a homesite that would soon have a front row seat, not only to the bridge's swift + impressive construction, but an enduring view of one of the finest bridges west of the Mississippi River. Grand spaces feature original oak floors w/ mahogany inlay. Large picture windows w/ bevelled crystal glass. From the foyer, double french doors open to the great room/sunroom + formal dining.
