Doug’s name is familiar to many locals thanks to his entrepreneurial background. He owned and operated Doug’s Hubcaps , co-located with his family’s longtime business, Berry’s Discount Warehouse , on North Treadaway Boulevard. He also ran Fantasy World Arcade , a nostalgic nickel arcade that brought together fans of 80s and 90s video games . These ventures helped shape Doug’s commitment to great customer service and lasting relationships —qualities that continue to guide his real estate career.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Angelo State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas . While earning his MBA, he interned with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development program , working directly with government-backed home loans . Though USDA-RD policy required him to place his real estate license on hold during the internship, the experience gave Doug a deep understanding of the mortgage process from the lender’s side —knowledge that now benefits his clients in a big way.
In fact, Doug’s dedication to helping others was so strong that even clients he couldn’t assist immediately would send thank-you letters—grateful for his honest guidance and clear explanations about how to become loan-ready in the future.
