All of these spots are excellent resting, feeding, and resident breeding grounds for waterfowl traveling along the Atlantic Flyway. The marsh here at Saulters Branch has great access from the Mispillion River's shoreline, the navigable guts on the north and south side of the property, and there is a gut right up the middle of the marsh, referred to as "Middle Ditch". This access provides the ability to place blinds, install duck nesting boxes & manage them, and perform habitat management practices such as spraying for phragmites. So, whether you are a hunter, a bird watcher, nature lover Saulters Branch could be your next Retreat. The property will surely provide many memories for someone. It is large enough to have a permanent residence near the front of the property and possibly a hunting cabin in the woods away from the home. Or, make this a true hunting retreat and only build a hunting cabin/lodge and own and manage the property as a hunt club. Both farms adjacent to the Saulter Branch are already saved from development being enrolled in Agriculture Preservation.
